REGISTERING A CLUB

1)   Club Application/Profile Find the Club Application/Profile under the FORMS tab.  There is an Excel version and a .pdf version.  The fastest way would be to SAVE the Excel version to your computer, open it, add information, re-save then attach it to an email and send it back to registrar@gpvb.org.
2)   Coaches get registered Coaches should be registered and have a current (cleared) background screening through USA Volleyball.  In order to do this, they must complete the online registration process.  Waiver and Release of Liability and USA Volleyball Code of Conduct must be "electronically signed".  By agreeing to the USA Volleyball Code of Conduct, you are also agreeing to the Great Plains Coaches Code of Ethics.  Background screening forms must be printed and sent to the Great Plains office if needed.  Send your registration fees ($50) and Background screening form (if needed) to the Great Plains Region office.  When the office receives paperwork and fees, they will process that membership and activate it.  AT THAT TIME the background screening will START.  The earlier the better.
3)   Players get registered All players need to register online.  In order to complete the online registration, the Waiver and Release of Liability and USA Volleyball Code of Conduct must be "electronically signed".  After the online registration has been completed, send your registration fees ($50) DIRECTLY TO THE GREAT PLAINS REGION.  The Medical History Release form goes to the CLUB DIRECTOR of the club they will be playing for.
4)        Memberships
      Processed/Activated
Once the Great Plains office receives registration fees, the membership will be processed and activated for the current season.  Include, on the check, the name of the person being registered.
5)      Coaching Status

An adult member is not eligible to coach until their background screening is current. A coach can have an active membership, but their coaching status is “pending’ until the background screening is current. Upon activation of the membership, the coaches’ background screening will be “picked up” by database screening company, which will start the screening process.  The background screening process takes 7-10 business days.  If there are no problems with the background screening, and once the background screening has been cleared, the adult member’s pending coaches’ status automatically changes to “eligible’.  A coach, assistant coach, or chaperone cannot be added to a roster until the coaching status is ‘eligible’.

6)      Club Admin Access Club Directors and Administrators do not receive club access in the database until they have a current membership. [Instructions]
7)           Rosters Rosters can only be built after members have been activated.  Club Directors and club administrators should log into THEIR personal account to build team rosters.  Coaches can only be added to rosters after the membership is activated and the coaching status is eligible.

All rosters used for tournament entries MUST be printed from the USA database.
9)     Online Tournament
             Registration
Great Plains will use an Online Tournament Registration system.  You must have a COMPLETED roster in the USA database before your team can be eligible to enter tournaments.
